CRAFT PIZZA TO GO

Inspired by their love of Italian cooking and local Kent produce, husband and wife team Jon and Vicki Crwys-Williams have created a brand new pizza eatery in the colourful seaside town of Whitstable in Kent.

They began their pizza-making adventure in Cornwall, moving from London with their young family to the village of St Agnes on the rugged North Cornwall coast. They set up the Cornish Pizza Company in 2012, and quickly gained a reputation beyond the local area for their freshly made delicious pizza using local ingredients.

They won numerous national and regional awards including Cornwall Food & Drink - Best Food to Go, Best Local Food to Go at the Taste of the West Awards (twice), Gold Award winner (twice ) for Best Independent takeaway at the PAPA Industry Awards and finalists at the National Pizza Awards, and featured in three West Country cookbooks.

Undeterred about being in the middle of a pandemic, Nomad Pizza Whitstable opened its doors at the beginning of August 2020. They are aleady Winners of the Best Independent Pizza Delivery Award at the PAPA Industry Awards 2020 and also Finalists at the National Pizza Awards 2021 . They are a Finalist of the Taste of Kent Awards Best Food & Drink Startup 2022 with the winner announced in May..

FRESH & LOCAL

Now in Kent, they have moved their concept of fresh, local ‘craft pizza to go’ to Whitstable. Moving their knowledge of pizza-making across the country, coast to coast to Kent, Nomad Pizza Whitstable opened in August 2020.

Nomad Pizza Whitstable employ local staff, use locally sourced ingredients, local suppliers and services, collaborate with other local businesses, and support local charities and events.

Pizza is freshly made to order, hand-stretched organic dough made daily topped with fresh, local ingredients. Our pizza names are dedicated to the apple-producing county of Kent - fondly referred to as the Garden of England. Pizzas are named after varieties of apples from around the world, with names such as Fiesta, Jazz, Flamenco and Scrumptious.

There is a great selection of Italian wines, Kentish beers and ciders, as well as sumptuous local ice-cream, chocolate brownies and fresh olives.
